Match Report

The match was joint effort between us and The Sportsman. The venue was the rather splendid Marsh Farm complex run by Godalming AC and is mainly Carp free with the exception of native Crucian Carp so for once we could leave our heavy duty carp poles and laccy at home. I say mainly Carp free as inevitably almost the first fish of the day was a fairly decent one for one of the Sportsman anglers!

As well as the Crucian Carp which the venue is well known for there are good Tench and Bream and plenty of Roach, Rudd and Perch.

Everyone had a mixed bag of fish and thoroughly enjoyed a pleasant days fishing.

Top on the day was Paul Ward with 23lb 7oz of mainly Skimmer Bream, Mick Greenway was second with 14lb 3oz and third was Richard Leduc with 8lb 15oz

If you are looking for something a bit different and fancy trying to catch catch a personal best Crucian or Tench then Marsh Farm is worth a visit.
