Match Report
This was our 2nd away day of the year for the return leg of the interclub with CDAS on their Long Lake. We took a team of ten on a very hot sunny day with a light breeze. Before the draw it was decided to weigh in at half time as the last couple of matches had seen winning weights of over 300Ib!
The draw saw five of us down the near side, four on the far side and one at the far end so a good spread. A couple of us had decided to have a go for the silver fish as you can have a great day on them and win the silver fish pools.
At the start it looked like the Carp had their heads down and it would be hard to get past them, but after an hour or so it slowed down and the Bream line came into play for the ones that had set up to go for them. As the day went on the fish went on and off the feed with only three or four anglers keeping them going all day.
The first three places went to Chichester anglers, Paul Ward our top angler on the day was fourth overall and was one of those who decided to have a serious tilt at the silver fish and this paid off as he topped the silver fish weights with 45lb of Bream
