Match Report

Another fantastic turnout for an away day visit to Stanbridge View on a dull but warm morning. We pegged 3/4 of the lake leaving out the last 5 pegs as we felt they would have too much space compared with the others. At the whistle everyone got off to a strong start but after the first 1/2 hour the fish worked out what was going on and things got slower and you had to work a few different lines to keep fish coming. Come the end everyone had put together a nice net of fish with not just Carp, but some nice Skimmers and Roach along with Barbel.

The weights were very close with Graham Hawkins just coming out top with 71lb 7oz, just ahead of John Powis with 69lb 14oz who in turn was just in front of Mark Holland with 68lb 1oz. It didn’t stop there, Keith was fourth with 67lb 5oz and Gary fifth with 65lb 3oz. All in all a very close and enjoyable day.
