Match Report
This match was fished in the middle of the summer heat wave with the water levels in Long Lake low – so for fish welfare the match was split into 2 x 3 hour sessions with a weigh in after the first 3 hours ( fish then returned to the lake) and at the end.
In first place was Steve Tubb who had 25lb in the first session but found the fish in the second match weighing in 127-0 of Carp in total. He fished paste on the pole in the margins to catch the fish in the second session.
Mick Greenway was second and fished paste on the pole in both the sessions. He caught 27lb in the first sessions which was a split between Bream and Carp. In the second session he caught 50lb which included 16lb of Bream for a total of 77lb 4oz for the whole match.
In third place was Graham White who fished the pole with various baits. He only caught 6lb of Bream in the first session but found 12lb of Bream and 47lb of Carp in the second to total 53lb 12oz overall.
We were well beaten by CDAS who’s top angler had 195lb which was backed up by a number of weights in the 80 – 100lb region.
