Match Report

The BBQ match on Stemps and Cart is run as a thank you to those that have helped out at work parties over the year. It is also a chance for a bit of friendly rivalry between the match, specimen and pleasure anglers which ensures these is a fair amount of banter throughout the day. Chef Dave was in charge of the food which was consumed with gusto at the conclusion of the match.
Despite the weather both Stemps and Cart were on excellent form. Stemps produced three weights in excess of thirty pounds with Glen Riley leading the way with 71lb 12oz of Carp from Peg 14. Almost matching him and only a couple of fish behind was venue expert Nelson Keet with 63lb 9oz from peg 15. Dan Bolton was on the always fancied peg 1 and had a very creditable 36lb 4oz for third place. It was good to see Rother expert, Coultershaw Bailiff and Club Treasurer Martin Cornish who drew peg 7 and was struggling until he managed a Carp or two in the last hour or so.
