Match Report

Well this was the first of our 2 leg series of friendly matches at Petworth Park. Again I was absent as I was preparing to travel down to Nice in the South of France. Vince has kindly sent me a short report.

Although a couple of anglers found some fish the weights dropped rapidly after the top two. Vince who was on the deep water between the concrete slab and the first tree caught 6 reasonable bream and a couple of pounds of bits and pieces for top weight. Nick who was pegged just to the left of the lilies caught a variety of fish including crucian carp, tench, bream and skimmers for 2nd place.

It was heartening to see 10 anglers turn out for the match and hopefully this is a taste of things to come as far as attendance is concerned.

The 2nd leg of the series will be fished next Sunday 8th June.
