Not quite as many as last week but we had 11 fishing the second Petworth park match. The middle pegs on the roadside did not produce as they had the week before and the winning weights came off the ends instead. This was a bit strange as a couple of the anglers who had done so well last week were drawn in similar areas. Kevin reckons that the wind direction had a big part to play with the change.
Keith Hughes was toward the bottom end of the roadside and put together a winning weight of 19 – 3 – 0 on the pole and feeder.
Up the top end it was quite close between Glen Reilly and Mick Greenway but Glen’s 16 – 12 – 0 was enough for second place with Mick coming in third with 11 – 4 – 0.
Over the two matches Steve Speller takes the trophy with a second place in the first leg and fourth in the second leg to give him 16 points in total. John Williams was just behind on 15 points.
