Match Report
This was the first leg of the Charles Tankard matches and was fished on Cart on a grey overcast night. The match was fished under dry conditions apart from the last half hour. Cart had an unusual high level of weed along with a lot of surface scum particularly at the eastern end of the lake. It was good to see John Shepherd out for his first competition of the year.
In first place was Keith Hughes fishing the long pole on Peg 16. He caught 3 carp plus bits to weigh in 8-12-0.
John Shepherd was fishing on Peg 27, in the area suffering from the most scum. The carp seemed to be in this area and John used a waggler on rod and line to catch 4 carp plus some skimmers on bread paste to weigh in 7-15-8

In third place, on Peg 31, was Mick Greenway who caught one carp on meat on the long pole along with some bits on the whip using maggot to weigh in 4-14-0.
