Match Report

There were thunderstorms and heavy rain showers in the afternoon but there was only a slight shower during the match which was fished under humid thundery conditions. The best pegs on the venue were used and John Shepherd and Phil Tubb were welcomed to their first matches of the season.In first place was Mick Greenway who caught 13 carp weighing 21-15-0. Mick fished on Peg 27 and used paste on the long pole, fishing close to the lily pads.

Phil had this 2lb Eel to go with his Carp

Vince Herringshaw was fishing Peg 23 and used pellet on the long pole to catch 10 carp. These weighed 17-0-4 to take second place.

Phil Tubb was fishing Peg 31 but struggled to catch any carp close to the bushes on the left-hand side. He switched to fishing meat close to island and caught 4 carp and a 2lb eel to weigh in 15-2-0
