Bernies was again chosen for this years committee/ bailiff/ Ottaway Cup match following the good catches last year.  16 anglers fished this year and these consisted of committee members, bailiffs and the regular matchmen (some anglers fitted into all three of these categories). The day was warm although there were some rain showers at the beginning of the match. Nine pegs were put in on one side of the lake and eight on the other. Catches again were good with bags mainly made up of carp – a total of over 280 pounds of fish were caught with 10 catches over ten pounds recorded.

In first place was Dan Bolton who caught 58-11-8 of fish, which were mainly carp. He was fishing on an end peg and used pellet either with a method feeder or pellet feeder to catch all his fish. He was pegged next to Tim Nudds and between the two of them they gave a running commentary on how their fishing was going throughout the competition.

Phil Tubb, who won last years match was in second place, fishing midway along the far bank. He caught 51-15-0 of carp, some on the long pole and pellet close to the island but the majority down the track using paste.

In third place was Steve Hanson who fished an end peg on the near bank to catch 40-10-12 of carp on the pole using pellets or paste. He narrowly beat Mick Greenway (who was fishing the other end peg on the near side) by 0-2-4. Mick fished the long pole using meat over a bed of hemp.

Dan won the Bailiff Cup, Steve the Ottaway Cup (for non committee members and bailiffs ) with Phil winning the Committee Cup.
