The eight anglers who turned up for the match were met with a hard frost and the river higher than normal but still fishable using float gear. It was anticipated that it would be difficult and these is how it turned out. Ten pegs were put in place with 8 in the first field past the stile and 2 in the fenced off area. In the match several good sized trout were caught but unfortunately these did not count and in the end only 4 fish were weighed in.
Steve Hanson was fishing in the fenced off area and caught a 2-10-0 chub float fishing maggots to easily win the match.
In second place was Steve Speller who also was float fishing maggots and caught a 0-4-4 grayling.
Mike Kitchener was in third place with 2 roach weighing 0-1-12
