Match Report
The water level in the lake was very low although there had been rain in the previous week which had cleared the algae. The weather forecast was for the first storm of the autumn and this proved to be the case with the wind strengthening during the match, making holding a pole a challenge, coupled with a couple of hours of rain. We had 9 anglers all fishing along the road side of the lake.
In first place, fishing the peg to the right of the concrete slab, was Dave Herbert who caught 10 bream weighing 29-9-0. Dave fished a chopped worm feeder throughout the match and used dead maggot on the hook.
Ray Huskisson was in second place with 5 bream weighing 15-7-0 from the furthest end peg past the oak tree. Ray used a groundbait feeder with red maggots on the hook.
In third place was Keith Hughes who was fishing a couple of pegs to the left of the concrete block. He used the long pole to catch 4 bream weighing 13-2-0
Overall the Daniels Rose Bowl was won by Dave Herbert 18 points followed closely by Mick Greenway with 17 points.
