Match Report

The Granary was the chosen venue to host this year’s inter club match with CDAS. The forecast for the day was dry and warm with a stiff breeze and that turned out to be the case. On arrival at the lake we found that the Carp were spawning and in all the margins and around the island we could see big balls of fishing doing what they do. Pegging was easy as we had a full house for this match so the luck would be in the draw and the guys from Chichester seemed to have lots of it pulling out the known hot pegs and the one close to the island. From the start things were slow apart from peg 14 who was hooking fish for fun but was losing around half of them in the roots around the island, for the rest of us we had to wait for a couple of hours but bites were slow.

Come the weight-in the results of the draw were clear to see with the top three spots all going to CDAS members. (well done to them)
