On the first match on the Arun at Watersfield, 7 anglers turned up on a dry sunny morning. With all the rain we had had recently the river was very clear of debris and was flowing at a reasonable pace. The match started on the top of the tide, with the majority of time being spent with the tide flowing out.
Ray Huskisson fishing on the furthest upstream peg used a feeder to catch a mixed bag of 8-8-8 to win the match. This included some quality roach and also a pike.

Vince Herringshaw was third with a mixed bag weighing 3-4-4 caught on both the lollipop float and the feeder.
