This match was the third in the Kirkby Bott series and was fished using the same pegs as the previous matches. The match was fished with rain showers and a strong wind but fortunately not as strong as the previous day. The strong wind made float control difficult in some swims. Again the Arun showed what a good venue it is with the normal roach, dace, bleak being caught along with some skimmers and eels. There were also some good sized fish unfortunately hooked but lost at the net notably Keith Hughes who lost a perch he estimated to be around 4lb in weight and Colin Bridger who lost a similar sized bream.

In first place was Mick Greenway who was fishing the Mint Swim and weighed in 9-10-8 of roach, dace, bleak and a lone gudgeon. He caught these on maggot and used three set ups – a waggler, a bolo float on a whip and a lollipop float on the pole. He fed groundbait with hemp to hold the fish.
Mick alternated tactics to keep the fish coming.

In second place was Colin Bridger who was fishing the most upstream swim closest to the fence. He fished pellet on the feeder to catch some superb roach including one of 2-1-0. These weighed 8-0-12 and whilst he did not have many fish they were all of a good size.
