The third leg of the LEC Cup was held on the Chichester Canal at Grosvenor Road. There was heavy rain the previous day and then the temperature dropped overnight. The water level in the canal was low, in fact you could have put your seat box in the water if you had boots on. The water was also very clear and we knew these conditions were not good for fishing. Again the catches consisted of roach and the in the matches on the Canal this year none of introduced skimmers and tench have been caught. In fact we have not seen a skimmer this season with the closest fish being a hybrid caught by Vince. Fish were caught almost from the off but once the boats had started to come through it became a real struggle.

In first place using his usual whip and bread punch combo was Vince Herringshaw who weighed in 1-8-12 of roach.

Mick Greenway was in second place and started to catch roach straight away but these tailed off when the boats started to come through. He caught 1-6-4 of roach either on the whip or pole using bread punch or pinkies.

Keith Hughes was sat between Vince and Keith and weighed in 0-6-8 of roach to finish third.
