Originally this match was scheduled for the Carp Pond. However the weed had grown up considerably in there resulting in insufficient fishable swims for the 9 anglers who had turned up. Hence the match was moved to the Match Pond. This unfortunately resulted in some anglers having the wrong gear for this venue. Again we were lucky with a warm, dry and calm evening. A similar number of carp were caught as in the previous match on this venue but there was an increase in the number of bream caught (8 compared to 1 in the previous match)
Fishing on the first platform on the roadside was Vince Herringshaw who fished in the margins back towards the outlet. He caught 5 carp on the margin pole using pellet to easily win the match with 20-10-0.
Also fishing on the roadside in the inset swim was Vinny Collier who caught 3 bream and 1 carp on pole/pellet combination to weigh in 10-7-0 and take second place.
Also fishing the road side and next to Vinny was Jason Clarke who also caught 3 bream and a carp to weigh in 9-3-4 to finish third.
After 2 legs Vinny Collier is in the lead with 17 points followed by Vince Herringshaw with 14 points.
