Our 2nd evening match on the Chichester Canal produced some excellent bream fishing on the float. We again used the Hunston down stretch and avoided the boat house and canoes.

Having found bream late on in the match last week Keith Hughes set out for them from the off, initially down the middle and later in the shallower water on the far bank. The tactic paid off as Keith weighed in 31 – 11 – 0 which was virtually all bream and easily enough for 1st place.

Pegged next to Keith, Mark Pantling decided to fish the 5 metre whip which meant that was fishing virtually down the middle. He found some of the better roach together with bream and eels for an excellent 16 – 14 – 0.

A long way back in third place with 3 – 15 – 0 was Vince.

With one match to go in the series Keith is currently on 20 points with 2 wins and Mark is on 18 with 2 second places, the last match could be very interesting!
