Match Report
Sunday 15/9/24 saw us at Stemps and Cart for the Macmillan day and charity match. The match was held across both lakes with anglers from our club along with members of Rother angling Club, Pulborough and the Sportsman club. Every one was given the choice at the time of booking in to pick the lake they wanted to fish to enable them to bring the correct bait and tackle and also making the draw on the day a lot easier. The weather gods decided to be very kind to us and after a chilly start the day was warm and dry with light winds and this encouraged a good number of members to pop over during the day to support the event and look a the tackle sale that Ray one of our bailiffs was running.
Things on Cart where a bit harder, All the anglers had to work hard to get bites and in the main they came from small fish along with a few eels and one large skimmer, but come the weigh in it was a very close result.
Well done to all that took part and raised money for this fantastic charity.
