Match Report

There were ten anglers on Stemps for the Macmillan Charity match. Peg 1 was closed for reconsrution which left Pegs 1 and 14 as probably the favourites.

Jon Arnold drew Peg 14 and put his extensive Carp catching skills into play to weigh in a total of 76lb 12oz to take first place.

Kevin Dowell, last year’s winner drew Peg 9 and despite a broken pole section half way through the match still managed to weigh in 68lb 4oz for second place.

Les Heath, who does not generally fish matches nowadays but turned out for the charity match drew Peg 1 as he did on his appearance last year. Les slightly bettered his weight from last year when he just failed to break the 50lb barrier. This year that was broken with his 55lb 12oz for third place.

Many thank to all that participated in the day with over £1200 being raised for the charity.
