Match Report
A dry and sunny evening on the Hurston Tench Pond for the second and final leg of the Milliard Cup. The match was started 15 minutes early to allow the anglers to remove the surface duck weed and rake their swims.
On Peg 9 was Keith Hughes, who spent the early part of the match in bright sunshine and concentrated on catching the small rudd in his swim. He eventually caught a small carp on meat and this coupled with the rudd weighed 3-15-4 to win the match.
Mick Greenway was fishing on Peg 10 and spent most of his time trying to catch a tench. There was alot of activity in his swim but the tench seemed reluctant to feed. He eventually caught a tench of about 2lb and this coupled with a crucian and some rudd weighed 3-14-0 to just lose out to Keith but take second place.
Ray Huskisson caught a tench plus a few rudd weighing 2-7-8 to take third place.
Overall the Milliard Cup was won by Keith Hughes with two wins (20 points) from Mick Greenway (17 points)
