10 anglers turned up for second leg of the Moss Cup at Shopham on a dry overcast evening. The Rother was higher than its normal summer level and was flowing faster than normal making control of a stick float difficult in some swims.Mike Kitchener continued his winning ways in the evening series on the Rother with a mixed bag. He caught a chub and bits on the float along with 2 eels on the feeder to weigh in 5-7-12.
In second place was Keith Hughes, a rare visitor to the midweek evening matches on the river. He also caught a mixed bag of a chub, an eel and bits to weigh in 4-5-8
In third place was Ray Huskisson with a mixed bag weighing 3-4-4
After two legs of the Moss Cup Mike Kitchener is in the lead with two wins.
