We had a very good turnout for the Ottaway Cup at Storrington for what turned out to be a hard day, Both carp and silver fish were few and far between.
Mick Greenway was pegged next to the reed bed on the river bank and managed to get one carp out which with a few bits gave him 4 – 4 – 12 to just win the match. Virtually opposite him Kevin Leighfield made one of his rare appearances (unfortunately he has to work some Sunday’s). Kevin had two carp from the island and lost a couple and was just behind Mick with 4 – 4 – 4 for 2nd place.
The weights dropped right off to a few ounces of silver fish with the odd perch, best of these was Keith Hughes who’s 0 – 11 – 4 was good enough for 3rd place.
