Match Report

First of all I would like to thank Vince for sending me the information from this match as I was watching Brighton play Arsenal in the FA Cup. Originally the match was to be fished on both Stemps and Cart but with Cart frozen over all eight anglers were pegged on Stemps, which was ice free. Pairs were randomly drawn with all pairs having a highly rated peg coupled with a lower rated peg ( eg Peg 1 was coupled with Peg 6)

In first place was Keith Hughes who for the second match at Stemps had drawn peg 1. He caught 5 carp plus bits to weigh in 17-3-0.

Vince Herringshaw was in second place fishing Peg 14. He used the long pole and his trusty whip to catch roach and skimmers weighing 8-8-0.

In third place was Steve Simmonds who caught a carp on the feeder plus roach and skimmers on the pole/whip to weigh in 5-14-8 from Peg 7.

Overall the Pairs Tankard was won by Vince and Steve (17 points) who were second and third in the match. In second place was Keith and Steve Hanson ( Peg 6) with 14 points.
