Match Report

Again a chilly and bright morning greeted us for our first match on Cart following the project to remove the slit and rebuild the island. With a limit of 8 pegs the match was soon booked up.

At the whistle Richard on peg 29 and Gary on peg 30 got off to a flying start catching net Roach and Rudd, they were soon joined by the other anglers along the back with the 3 pegged along the end not getting a bite for the first 45 minutes. As the match went on all the anglers started catching with Keith in peg 23 having taken a gamble with a large area of ground bait looking for the skimmers finding some nice fish up to the 2Ib mark. At the end of the match everyone agreed that the work done and making Cart a silver fish only water was well worth it.
