This match continued where the last match left off ie heavy rain. It was raining when I packed the car and continued throughout the match and weigh all and on the way home, so there were lots of very wet angling kit drying out over the next week. Cart was showing a good depth and colour with lots of water going out of the outfall. Twelve anglers attended the match and these were pegged on the most successful pegs on Cart. Normally the path over to the fishery would be very muddy and difficult to push/pull your trolley through. However although it was muddy it was not as bad as it could have been thanks to Nelson laying down a base of wood chippings. Overall the match was very hard with 3 anglers not weighing in.
In first place fishing peg 27 was Steve Hanson who fished the long pole using expander pellets to catch 4 skimmers and 1 bream plus small roach ( on maggots) to weigh in 6-0-0.
Glen Riley was fishing on peg 16 which is known for having a resident population of carp. Glen caught 2 of these plus roach to weigh in 5-2-8.
Steve Simmonds was in third place on peg 30 and used a combination of whip and long pole to catch 3-12-0 of roach on maggot.
