Match Report
Stemps Pond was the venue for the 2nd round of the pole only, and the forecast was for a fine day with patchy sunshine and no rain. We pegged around the whole pond using all the pegs we felt could compete with either a good long line or good margin. It turned out that due to the amount of rain that had gone in over the past week, the Carp were a little tricky to catch.
New man Gary Taylor on peg one had a steady flow of bites in his right hand margin for most of the match and ended up with 26lb 7oz for his debut win.
Keith fishing peg 14 found 3 Carp quickly on bread across towards the island but then they moved just out of range, however 19lb 11oz was good for second place.
Gary Collins in Peg 15 found a few Carp in open water and 11lb 4oz gave him third spot.
Everyone else had between 1 and 3 Carp but lots of silvers along with a nice Eel from peg 10 showed.
