Again the match was fished under mild conditions although there was a very strong gusty wind which was very variable in direction and on some pegs made pole control difficult. There was also occasional drizzle during the match. Eight anglers turned up and again bacon rolls and hot drinks were available. On the pegging front those from the first leg were used although Peg 13 was preferred to Peg 6 in this match. As in the previous match at this fishery carp could be seen cruising around the lake but whereas everyone weighed in in the previous match two anglers went home early in this one. However there were still four double figure catches and the top three weights were very close, which how matches should be. Again there was no sign on any small silverfish. In first place fishing Peg 13 was Keith Hughes who caught 3 bream and 4 carp. These were caught on the long pole and weighed 17-15-8.

Mick Greenway was fishing on Peg 1 and caught 3 bream and 3 carp. The bream were caught on the pole at 11 metres using pinkies or dead maggots. One of the carp was caught in the margin and the other two at 11 metres using dead maggots as bait. These fish weighed 17-5-0 to take second place.

Close behind in third place was Andy May who caught 5 carp from Peg 5 on maggot on the long pole weighing 17-3-4.

Andy with his catch from Peg 5 Peg 13 was not unlucky for Keith
Only ounces separated third placed Andy (on the left) from Keith
