Match Report

We thought we would have one or two more turn out for this match, as England had played their second world cup game the night before. However, the temperature was even higher than last week which put some off.

So it was just Mark and Steve again. It was Mark’s first visit to Shopham so before the start Steve walked him along the up section and pointed out the normal swims. They also had a quick look at the first two swims down from the bridge. Mark won the toss and decided on the Burton Mill stream swim, although he fancied ‘The Beach’ at the top end, he decided to be lazy and fish the first swim down from the bridge.

Both decided upon similar tactics to the previous week with Mark on the pole with a flat float and Steve trotting. The weights were spookily similar to the previous week with Mark weighing the same and Steve an ounce less!
