Match Report

This was the first match of the Stillwater evening series and was held on Hurston Tench Pond. The evening was overcast and dry – however it started to rain when the anglers set off for their pegs and continued for a couple of hours. Once the rain stopped it was a pleasant evening. Unfortunately the fish were reluctant to feed with very few small tench caught but some of the recently introduced roach showed up
In first place, fishing peg 7, was Mick Greenway who caught mainly Crucian Carp along with a couple of Roach and Tench to weigh in 4lb 3oz. Mick used a pole fishing worm or meat over micro pellets to catch his fish.
Gary Collins was second fishing peg 4 and weighed in 1lb 5oz of Tench, Roach and Rudd.
In third place was Jon Arnold weighing in 7oz.
