When we arrived one of our Granary bailiffs told us that eight members had been fishing the venue during the day and only one of them had caught a Carp so hopes were not too high.
For the first time we had warm sunny weather, it finally looks like summer may be on its way. We started fishing at 5.30pm and by 6pm Mick Greenway was playing his 1st Carp so maybe things were looking up and everyone moved away from the Rudd and set up Carp lines in hope that one would show up. This turned out to be the case for most of us with 17 being landed and about 10 lost during the match. Total match weight was just over 90lb, with Keith Hughes having 23lb for first place, grandson Cody with 16lb 12oz for second and Jon Arnold not far behind with 15lb 10oz.
