We met up just before 5pm on a very hot and sunny afternoon with a forecast of light rain moving in around 8.30pm and getting heavy overnight so we all took light rain coats thinking the weigh in could be damp. The match started at 5.30pm and by about 6.30pm the rain was hammering down and didn’t stop all evening.
The weather conditions did not affect the fishing adversely and in fact weights were up on last week.
It was another win for Graham White from the near end of the pond with 26lb 12oz from peg 1. As last week Gary Collins was second but this time from peg 3 with 26lb 4oz to make it a tight finish. In third place from peg 12 was Keith Hughes with 13lb 4oz.
Gary decided to take a little swim at the end, we are not sure why, maybe the joy of coming 2nd, 2 weeks running, or perhaps he was not wet enough already!
