Match Report
Well this match was scheduled for the canal, but the Match Secretary had one of his spies out there a few days earlier and not a lot was happening so he decided to move it to the middle pond at Hurston. In the event not much happened there either with most of us struggling for a bite let alone a fish.
Keith drew the tree at the far end of the pond which was almost certainly a banker for a days fishing and this proved to be the case. with a mixed bag of Carp, Bream, Skimmers and Roach and catching fairly regularly through the match a net of 20lb 3oz was easily enough to win.
Glen was about half way along and finally decided to have a go along the far bank on the tip after trying a float line for the first few hours. He had two Carp for 9lb 14oz and second place.
The rest of us failed to trouble the scorers!!
