Match Report

This was our first match of 2026 after the Hurston match scheduled for the previous week was cancelled due to the lakes all being frozen solid. All the pegs are back up and running now so we pegged all the way around.

As usual pegs 1 and 15 saw the best of the action but everyone caught Carp and silverfish.

Keith on Peg 1 started on the pole, fishing corn  and had a slow start but stuck with it and after about 40 minutes started to catch well. His 54lb was more than enough to win the match.

Gary on Peg 15 started with a small method feeder to the far bank and caught from the off but most of them were the smaller 2 to 3Ib fish, however 39lb was good for second place.

Richard on Peg 8 fishing a bomb to the island also started well but that area soon dried up and he then fished for the silvers on the pole and his catch of 16lb 4oz secured third place.
