Match Report

After being told the lake was frozen on Friday afternoon and putting an email out to all that had booked in saying bring you ice breaker. We turned up to a mild 5 deg C morning to find all the ice had melted. Knowing this meant that cold water had fallen through the pond we knew things would be a little hard to start with, but hoped for a good last couple of hours at least. With 5 anglers pegged on each side we started with everyone kicking off with very little or no feed to get a feel for what would happen, and as it turned out not a lot.

In first place was Graham fishing peg 1 he had a couple of F1’s dobbing backed up with a lot of small silver fish.

Second was Gary in peg 8 with 1 mirror carp and a small perch on worm.

Steve on peg 7 had a single F1 on maggot .
