Match Report

Our first match of the year at the Park and we had a good turn out on a warm day with a stiff S/W wind and the lake looked spot on for a good day.

From the start it was the same as normal with half going for the feeder rod and the others on the pole. The anglers who opted for the pole started catching Roach and Rudd from the off but the guys on the feeder had to wait for almost an hour but started catching bream.

Kevin and Graham on the first couple of pegs fishing the pole started getting bream more regularly than everyone else. Between us we had a lot of bream but noticed that this year we had a lot of fish in the 1.5 to 2Ib bracket rather than the 4Ib+ fish which was nice to see.

At the weight-in all the top three came from the early pegs in the shallower water. For the top two it was very close Graham with 32lb 12oz just beat Kevin who had 32lb 5oz. Gary came in third with 21lb.
