Match Report

The Granary for the first round of this year’s pairs matches was today’s venue and the forecast was for a very hot day around 28 deg with wall to wall sunshine. We drew for pegs and then pegs 1 to 8 went back in the bag and the anglers who drew 9 to 17 drew a partner from the bag. Things seemed a little slow to start with but as the day went on the Carp started to show allbeit not in the large numbers that they do sometimes but this kept things interesting for the whole match with no pair running away with it. At the weigh in the pegs with a bit more shade seemed to have had the better day and following on from his win in the Junior Open at Petersfield the day before Cody had put a nice bag together out of sight of everyone in peg 14..

None of the other pairs are out of it at this stage with upto 20 points still to play for.
