A fine still, chilly morning greeted us with a touch of frost on the grass. The lake had lost some of its colour and was flat calm so we spaced the pegging all the way along the road bank.
John Ritter drew golden peg no. 2 and fished the feeder at about 15m and was the only one to catch Bream. His 23lb 4oz was well ahead of everyone else.
The rest of us tried everything but had to make do with small Roach and Skimmers.
