Nine anglers turned up for the W Sampson Trophy match. As the road side swims had been fishing better in the previous matches 6 swims were pegged on this side along with the 3 better performing swims on the river side. This proved to be good for those fishing the river side as they all caught fish whilst no one caught on the road side with some not even getting a bite
Steve Hanson caught 4 carp in the first two hours to easily win the match with 18-4-4. He fished bread punch on the long pole close to the island.
In second place with 2 carp for 8-2-8 caught on jelly pellets was Steve Speller fishing the reed swim.
Keith Hughes caught 2 carp for 6-7-4 to finish third.
