Match Report
The forecast for today looked good with light wind and some sun at 11 o clock and this was what we got. Hopes were high with a bit of colour in the water and a warmer day, so we pegged all around the pond. Richard making his return after a few months of following his hip replacement was asked to draw the golden peg and he picked out peg 5, and following 2 wins from this peg in the last 2 matches it was the one everyone wanted. At the draw Mick was the lucky one who drew the golden peg. From the start it was clear that this time the silvers were going to play (this was probably something to do with the stocking that took place on Friday), both Graham in peg 1 and John in 14 started catching silvers from the off and everyone else was getting signs of small fish on the bigger baits looking for the Carp and F1s.
Come the weigh in things had not gone the way of the past few matches with peg 5 not featuring in the frame and healthy silvers weights from a number of pegs which showed that although a lot of the new fish were in the area where they had been introduced they had also spread out round the pond.
